Verteego was at the Experimentation Day that focused on Research Data For Climat Change, organised by the Research Data Alliance and French competitiveness cluster Cap Digital. The purpose of this day being to promote scientific research and digital contribution to fight climate change. Two months ahead of COP21, it gave the opportunity to highlight the role of innovation in providing effective solutions to tackle environmental issues.
We at Verteego presented Jolicharts, our self-service data analytics and dataviz tool that enables anyone to create beautiful charts and dashboard, for free and in a very simple and effective way.
Our take on the Experimentation day :
– The ‘One Minute Madness’ pitch session, in which each participant had one minute to present their project. We were impressed by those of Plume Labs and Wezzoo: both use Big Data as a leverage to improve environmental monitoring, Plume Labs by real-time measuring air pollution, Wezzoo by providing an community-based international service of weather data. We pitched Jolicharts.
– The interactions with an audience of insiders where we were able to better explain our commitment to sustainable development and CSR.
We also had the opportunity to exchange views with our booth neighbour, Alain Dini at VirtualDive, who fosters ocean discovery by creating a submarine device that allows real-time visualisation and geolocated data sharing. It has both a scientific and a entertainment purpose.
The Experimentation Day is an epitome of a global trend towards the promotion of both SMEs and academic initiatives in the sustainable development and digital field.
